T-shirt artwork

Shirt designs prepared for the print area, the garment colors and the print method your platform uses.

Fitting the print area

Each shirt style has a maximum print area, and it differs between styles and sizes. A design that fills the area on a large shirt sits differently on a small one. We place the art where it reads well across the sizes you sell and keep important details away from the edges of the area.

Light and dark garments

A design that looks right on a white shirt can disappear on black. If you sell several garment colors, we prepare versions: for example, dark ink for light shirts and light ink for dark ones. We also check thin lines and small text, which can fill in or break up on fabric.

Print methods

MethodWhat it means for the art
Direct to garmentFull color and gradients work, but very fine detail and faint colors can fade into the fabric
Screen printingEach color is a separate screen, so designs use a limited number of flat colors
EmbroiderySimple shapes and bold lines; fine detail and gradients don't translate

Tell us the method your platform or printer uses and we design within its limits.

Files you get

High-resolution PNG files with transparent backgrounds, sized to the template, plus the layered source file. If a platform rejects a file because of a template issue we made, we fix it.

Questions

Can you put text on a shirt in several languages?

Yes. Send the text for each language exactly as it should print, and we set each version.

Do you design sleeve and back prints?

Yes, if your platform offers those print areas. Each one gets its own file.
